SB1078: Amendment to Expand Discussion Topics at Executive Session

Summary

This legislation states that an agency may hold an executive session in order to discuss matters related to emergency preparedness, and public safety and security in an undisclosed manner in an effort to protect schools and safety procedures should an emergency situation arise.

Currently, schools must publicly disclose such plans noted above. Many school districts and municipalities feel this jeopardizes the safety procedures in place.
