DCIU Partners with CCIU and Chester County Health Department on Video Series
The Delaware County Intermediate Unit recently partnered with the Chester County Intermediate Unit and Chester County Health Department to produce a series of videos titled “Shared Knowledge, Shared Success.” The series is focused on school reopening and the importance of regional collaboration efforts as we open our buildings and prepare for this new environment. Guidance from local health officials and education leaders is critical to successful reopening plans. This three part series highlights these important partnerships and serves as a reminder that we all have a role in keeping our schools safe. Part one of the series, “Returning to Schools and Keeping Spaces Safe”, has been released and features principals, teachers, and students from Delaware and Chester counties providing important messages about maintaining a safe and healthy environment in schools.
Part Two of the series, “A Regional Collaboration to Navigate the Reopening of Schools during COVID-19”, has been released and features DCIU Executive Director Dr. Maria Edelberg and CCIU Executive Director Dr. George Fiore discussing the importance of local partnerships and collaboration as schools plan reopening guidelines and procedures. Jeanne Casner, Chester County Health Director, provides insight into the role of the health department as these organizations work together.
