Services Provided
Project ELECT (Education Leading to Employment and Career Training) is a twelve month program that provides comprehensive support services to school age pregnant and parenting students throughout Delaware County. All participants are provided case management, individual and group counseling, academic support, parenting education, child development instruction, health and nutritional instruction, home visits, information on second pregnancy prevention, domestic violence education, support to access childcare and transportation, mentoring, and transition assistance as it relates to employment, vocational education, and college entry. We currently serve students in the Chester Upland, Interboro, Ridley, Southeast Delco, Upper Darby, and William Penn School Districts.
The DCIU Project ELECT Program serves pregnant and parenting teen mothers and fathers throughout Delaware County. Our mission is to provide an all year program that helps students achieve good grades, maintain regular attendance, obtain a high school diploma or GED, transition into employment, job training, or post-secondary education, while parenting happy and healthy children.
