Extended School Year

ESY School Age Programming 

Services occur outside the standard school day and are part of a student’s IEP. Summer sessions are offered for students referred by their school districts. Certified staff provide instruction and related services.

ESY Transition Programing 

SAILS/Community Living and Learning Program
For students who require support in developing daily living skills and accessing community-based activities. Programs are staffed by Special Ed teachers and paraprofessional support staff. Related services of occupational, physical, and speech and language therapy will be provided by the district with coordinated scheduling. The program is held in an apartment in the community. 

Intensive Learning and Language Support (ILLS)

Provides services to students in sixth to eighth grade at Springton Lake Middle School and students in ninth grade through graduation at Penncrest High School. Both schools are in the Rose Tree Media School District. The program provides services and supports including behavioral support, social work, and psychological services. Intensive and specialized reading, mathematics, and writing instruction is provided. Students in the ILLS Program have access to a full-time special education teacher while maintaining the ability to participate with their nondisabled peers as determined by the IEP team.
