The Facilities Department is responsible for the maintenance and custodial services of all Intermediate Unit facilities as well as managing warehousing and distribution of common use materials and supplies including:
- Serves as Environmental Coordinator, Transportation Liaison for districts
- Serves as the Intermediate Unit's Section 504 and Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator
- Administers Delaware County Joint Purchasing Board
- Overall operation of the school lunch program
It is the policy of the DCIU to provide a safe environment for all students, faculty, staff and visitors. This goal is accomplished by providing safe working conditions. We review and improve our facilities and practices on a regular basis.

Asbestos Management Plan
A copy of the asbestos management plan is currently kept in the Facilities/Operations and Maintenance Department. These records are available for review during the normal school business hours.
