Recognizing October as Head Start Month
October is recognized as National Head Start Awareness Month, a time to celebrate the transformative impact of Head Start programs in promoting early learning, health, and family well-being for children across our communities.
Head Start is a free preschool program for children ages 3 to 5 from income-eligible families, which full-day classes and locations across Delaware County. In addition to early learning, the program offers support with health, nutrition, and family services to help children start school ready to learn.
