This event will provide attendees numerous networking opportunities, enabling attendees to connect with peers, share ideas, and form collaborative partnerships. Dedicated sessions will encourage the exchange of knowledge and resources, fostering a community committed to advancing the field of assistive technology.

Register for AT Maker Network Meetings

DCIU hosts monthly meetings to facilitate collaboration between colleagues in the county who are responsible for curriculum and instruction in their districts. Curriculum & Instruction administrators network with those in similar roles across the county discussing curricular, instructional, and assessment issues and comparing problem-solving approaches. DCIU staff keep the group abreast of PDE initiatives and requirements, trends in instruction and assessment, and area professional development opportunities.

These sessions for building coaches will allow those implementing PBIS around the county to network regarding PBIS best practices. Important information will be shared regarding the PA PBIS Network and state behavior initiative. Schools and administrators will present on key implementation topics. Participants will be able to ask questions and seek supports regarding PBIS. Sessions are conducted and coordinated by the DCIU PBIS Facilitators.

This professional learning community meets quarterly to share expertise and work collaboratively to improve and increase secondary transition planning activities and services for students with disabilities.

The purpose of the Local Transition Coordinating Council is to coordinate and enable communication between adult service providers, educators, parents, and community business leaders in order to share information and develop collaborative working relationships to support the transition needs of high school students with disabilities and their families who are seeking post-secondary training or education, employment opportunities, and independent access to community resources.

This network aims to support leaders in creating a culture of continuous improvement in mathematics education by providing opportunities for collaboration, reflection, and professional growth.

DCIU facilitates quarterly opportunities for district coordinators of programs for multilingual learners across the county to engage in discussion, collaboration, and problem solving around issues, initiatives, and trends affecting the education of multilingual learners and immigrants.

This is a networking group for teachers of English Learners, by teachers of English Learners. DCIU facilitates monthly meetings for teachers of English Learners countywide to seek and share expertise and to engage in collegial discussion around current research, initiatives, and trends affecting the teaching and learning of English Learners.

This network is a combination of our former Emotional Support and Complex Learner Networks. The Neurodiversity Network is an opportunity for professionals who work with children with Emotional Disturbance and/or Autism to collaborate with one another and learn new resources and tools to help in their daily work. Each session will share information on Mental Health/Social Emotional Wellbeing activities, instructional practices, and behavioral strategies that can be implemented in their classrooms.

The STEELS Network convenes three times a year to keep educators, curriculum directors, and administrators informed about state-level developments in Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy, and Sustainability (STEELS) education. This collaborative platform facilitates the exchange of current information, innovative practices, and valuable resources to enhance STEM education in our communities. The STEELS Network will be offered both in-person and virtually via Zoom.

DCIU serves as the Title III Consortium Lead for schools that receive Title III funds. As consortium fiscal lead and partner, DCIU coordinates the Title III activities for consortium members, ensuring that funds are spent on carrying out goals and benefiting all consortium members. Quarterly meetings are held to support collaboration and transparency. Participants will engage with member LEAs to identify consortium activities and facilitate planning. Federal and state updates and guidance related to Title III requirements will be shared.
