ESL Program Specialist Add-on Certification

This post-baccalaureate program helps teachers work with English learners in K-12 schools. You will learn about language, culture, planning lessons, and helping students grow in their English language development.

Program Includes

• 5 online courses (13 credits)
• 90-hour field experience
• Online self-paced coursework with virtual instructor meetings
• Optional graduate credit through Immaculata University

How to Apply

• Fill out the application form.
• Be prepared to upload or send these documents with your application:
  • Official college transcripts (email: courseinfo@dciu.org or mail to 200 Yale Ave., Morton, PA 19070 - Attn: Paula Coons, Registrar). A 3.0 GPA in undergraduate work is required for program entry.
  • Current résumé
  • Personal statement (tell us about your goals!)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Copy of your Instructional I or II teaching certificate

ESL 1-4:

• $675 per course (or $700 per course if registering within one week of start)
• 3 CPE credits per course (90 Act 48 hours)

ESL 5:

• $225 (or $250 if registering within one week of start)
• 1 CPE credit (30 Act 48 hours)

Fieldwork:

• $450 (or $475 if registering within one week of start)
• 90 Act 48 hours (no CPE or graduate credit)

Available through Immaculata University for $200 per credit.
