DCIU's Department of Curriculum provides programs, services, and information relating to curriculum, instruction, and assessment to schools and school leaders. We work closely with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, K-12 sector vendors, and other educational agencies to offer high-quality, cost-effective options to meet your needs.
Continuous Improvement ServicesDCIU offers Continuous Improvement Services (CIS) to improve student achievement in Delaware County. CIS coordinates collaborative efforts in Delaware County schools and districts to promote creative ways to share resources and knowledge across the county. To meet district and school needs CIS draws on expertise from Professional Development, Instructional Technology and Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. Continuous Improvement Services provides services to meet the needs of schools and districts in Delaware County as they address areas of improvement designated through federal and state regulations.

- School Improvement Planning: DCIU provides support to federally designated schools as they develop annually revise school improvement plans. Support includes the planning process, data analysis, root cause analysis, identifying promising strategies and creating realistic implementation steps.
- Comprehensive Planning: DCIU provides support to county school districts as they develop their three year comprehensive plans in areas of Professional Development, New Teacher Induction, Gifted Education, Student Services, Special Education and Pre-K Programs.
- Professional Development: Professional development related to the achievement of all students.
- Curriculum and Program Studies/Auditing: District and school research/program /curriculum studies and audits.
