DCIU understands that the mandated closure of PA schools due to the COVID-19 response effort may be causing uncertainty for the 2020-21 school year. We are working to connect students and families with resources to help navigate this unprecedented crisis.
While the start of this year will look very different from last year, our staff have been preparing to provide a safe environment for those returning to our buildings. DCIU and DCTS students and families should review the Health and Safety plan. Additionally, we will be posting helpful information on our website, social media, and in our newsletters.
The Delaware County Intermediate Unit recently partnered with the Chester County Intermediate Unit and Chester County Health Department to produce a series of videos titled “Shared Knowledge, Shared Success.” The series is focused on school reopening and the importance of regional collaboration efforts as we open our buildings and prepare for this new environment. Guidance from local health officials and education leaders is critical to successful reopening plans.
