Comprehensive Plan

  • DE County Comprehensive Ed Plan Graphic Comprehensive Planning is a continuous process used to ensure that all students are achieving at high levels. Continuous Comprehensive Planning of all schools is essential to provide increased student performance. Innovative programs combined with staff development and public participation in planning, are critical factors in continuous growth.


    DCIU Comprehensive Plans

    The Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) is a regional education services agency. It is our mission to provide leadership for the development of innovative and cost-effective programs to meet the needs of our county.

    DCIU serves more than 70,000 school-aged students and more than 6,000 educators on a regional basis. Direct instruction is provided to more than 15,000 students enrolled in DCIU’s Special Programs, Career and Technical Education and specialized programs.

    DCIU and the Delaware County Technical Schools (DCTS) submit Comprehensive Plans to the Pennsylvania Department of Education every three years. The plan includes goals with supporting strategies and action steps to achieve those goals. 

    • DCIU Comprehensive Plan 2022-2025
      DCIU is currently in the process of developing, approving, and submitting its 2022-2025 Comprehensive Plan to the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The DCIU Board of Directors approved the plan at its November board meeting.
