Student Programs

  • We are proud to host and sponsor several STEM and Innovation centered student competitions over the course of the year. Student events and competitions typically take place in the Spring of each school year. We are also proud to offer STEM summer camps for curious kids to experience robots, drones, Artificial Intelligence, and more!

  • 24 Challenge

    The 24 Challenge is a tournament-style competition organized around the 24 Game. Millions of students in more than 20 countries have participated since 1988. The competition will be entering its fifth year at DCIU in 2019.

  • Delaware County Science Fair

    Each year, students in Delaware County are involved in sophisticated research projects that focus on science topics in a variety of categories. The Delaware County Science Fair embraces a philosophy that students learn science by doing science.

  • Governor's STEM Competition

    The Governor's Office and the Pennsylvania Department of Education present an annual themed competition focused on exposing students to STEM related jobs, skills, and concepts.

    At the Hackathon students will be confronted with a real world problem that requires collaboration and innovation to develop creative solutions.

  • PA Media and Design Competition

    The PA Media and Design Competition is an annual event that highlights Pennsylvania students’ application skills, creativity and knowledge. Students are able to unleash their creativity, learn how to convey information more dynamically, and enhance the learning process.

  • STEM Design Challenge

    Students in grades 4-8 are challenged to build an object with a certain theme with K'NEX building materials. At the challenge, they will present a narrative report, submit blueprints/cost sheets, and build their object within a certain time limit.
