• Collision Repair Technology (Adult)

    Course Description

    Collision Repair Technology will prepare a student for an entry level position in the auto body industry. The curriculum is aligned with the I-CAR (Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair) and the Automotive Collision Technology standards. Using state-of-the-art equipment, students are taught MIG welding/cutting, metal repair, corrosion protection, masking, refinishing, undercoating, and unibody inspection. They are taught safety compliance, tools and equipment identification. Each student will gain the knowledge, understanding and training needed to secure a position in the collision repair field.

    • CCAR Greenlink: Safety & Pollution Prevention (SP/2)
    • Work towards ASE certification (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence)

    Participants who successfully complete this program will

    • Paint surfaces or equipment
    • Repair metal
    • Apply corrosion protection
    • Replace vehicle glass
    • Cut materials according to specifications or needs
    • Operate welding equipment
    • Install vehicle parts or accessories
    • Install machine or equipment replacement parts
    • Smooth surfaces of objects or equipment
    • Apply protective coverings to objects or surfaces near work areas
    • Measure distances or dimensions
    • Remove dents from equipment, materials, tools or structures
    • Prepare compounds or solutions to be used for repairs


    • Completed Application
    • Be at least 18 yrs. of age
    • High School Transcript or GED diploma
    • College Transcripts (if applicable)
    • Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal History, Child Abuse History Clearance
    • Physical Exam including: 2 step PPD, Drug Screen, Immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu Vaccine
    • Attend student orientation/interview
