A Leader in Pennsylvania STEM and Computer Science Education
The Teaching, Learning, and Innovation (TLI) department at the Delaware County Intermediate Unit connects STEM, computer science, and innovation resources across Delaware County and the Eastern Pennsylvania Region. Our goal is to provide individuals, schools, and the community access to the latest research, practices, and technology to help them perform and meet the needs of a 21st century world. We help foster innovative students, teachers, classrooms, and schools. We inspire educators to fuse the uncommon, take risks, and think big!
TLI provides cutting edge, research-based practices to engage all learners and to generate effective solutions for STEM and Computer Science education. We are a leading provider of professional development for STEM and are the eastern Pennsylvania regional Code.org partner. Our team is composed of recognized experts in Computational Thinking, Computer Science, Design Thinking, Maker Education, Problem-Based Learning, STEM Integration, and Curriculum Design.
In addition to our regular lineup of courses open to all teachers and school administrators, we tailor professional learning and support to districts across the state. TLI staff partners with local districts and schools to create professional learning solutions. We incorporate the unique needs of each district to develop comprehensive frameworks that ensure success.
We create and nurture STEM education ecosystems aimed at bringing together like-minded partners from PreK-20 education, business, and community sectors. TLI provides comprehensive STEM and Computer Science opportunities by leveraging all resources and enabling stakeholders to build a network of STEM opportunities.
