Guest Teacher Program - Upcoming Training

Guest Teacher training is for individuals with a bachelor's degree (in any field) who are interested in serving as substitute teachers. The training program will enable participants to substitute in DCIU classes and classes within participating school entities in Delaware County.

Virtual Parent Training on Post-Secondary Programs and Supports for Children with IEPs to be held Jan. 22

The Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) is excited to announce its upcoming virtual training session for parents and caregivers of students with individualized education programs (IEPs). The Post-Secondary Programs and Supports for Children with IEPs training will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, via Zoom.

DCIU Information Technology working to protect schools from Cyber Threats

This week, global credit rating provider Moody’s announced the cybersecurity risk score for the education and nonprofit sectors has jumped from “moderate” to “high” over the past two years.
The education sector’s rising cyber risk rating comes as ongoing calls for K-12 cybersecurity support are amplified at the national and state levels. According to Moody’s, higher cyber risk scores are being driven by growing digitization — which produces an “extensive digital footprint potentially more vulnerable to a cyberattack” — and below-average mitigation of cyber risks.
